So that's why she never really responds to his confessions. Man i hope he never lets anyone come between the two of them.

The flashbacks in this episode, especially making me feel that all the characters are really precious. They're struggled and overcome so much. I love seeing Alice's vulnerable side too. The soundtrack has been amazing.

So excited this anime is finally back!

A+ translation on those lyrics.

LesK • 10 months ago

actually the reverse is true, it had to be translated into Japanese first because 'The Owl and the Pussy-cat' is a nonsense poem by Edward Lear. it was first published in 1870 in the American magazine 'Our Young Folks: an Illustrated Magazine for Boys and Girls'. if i'm not mistaken the Duke is playing Igor Stravinsky's original composition of a setting to the poem for piano and soprano singer which premiered on an American radio serial broadcast in October 1966. Maestro Stravinsky passed in 1971 leaving 'The Owl and the Pussycat' as his final completed work. Stravinsky had known of Edwin Lear's poem prior to setting it as it had been the first English language verses the Maestro's wife Vera had memorized.

Guess she is the Takagi teasing Nishikata ( the duke and him look alike only difference being one is a bit taller than the other).
